About the album
North Star I arrived in 2017 as a complete statement. Three musicians from Zwolle who’d been refining a sound in relative quiet, then — fully formed — put it on record.
The album established the sonic signature the band has carried ever since: bass that drives without dominating, guitars processed into atmosphere, a voice that navigates between intimacy and distance. Producer Roy Mitchell-Cárdenas (MuteMath, Twenty One Pilots) understood immediately what the music needed — and brought in MuteMath drummer Darren King to complete the picture.
Cinematic from the first note. It’s a record that sounds like it’s already in a film.
